Planning the Transition to a Fully Electric Fleet
With fleet operators moving beyond EV pilot deployments and transitioning to fully electric fleets, there is a growing need for tools to plan large EV deployments at the lowest possible cost.
During the second webinar in Proterra’s Powered Up: Fleet Electrification Educational Series, we looked at the key factors to take into account for an electric bus deployment and discussed how those considerations change when planning a full fleet transition to zero-emission vehicles. The presentation covered everything from gathering the data for determining your fleet’s energy needs to delivering that energy at the lowest cost, reducing demand charges, minimizing hardware and installation costs, and the impact of adding a solar system with stationary battery storage.
Proterra hosted this webinar on March 25, 2021, to share how the company has incorporated learnings from a decade of delivering electric buses into a comprehensive and cost-effective approach to planning fully electric fleet deployments.
