The City of Arvin joined in on keeping Kern County powered by clean renewable energy.
Arvin announced Friday morning that they collaborated with Arvin Transit and Proterra Bus to unveil a new electric bus.
A $2 million grant was awarded to buy 3 electric busses and an electric charging station infrastructure.
The bus has a range of 251 miles per charge.
According to the City of Arvin, they plan on converting all of its busses to electric by 2025, and all of the busses will be powered by clean renewable energy.
