CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, November 21, 2016 – The future of transportation is coming to the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (CCRTA), with the electric bus manufacturer, Proterra Monday, November 21, from 3:30- 4:30 p.m. at the Staples Street Center for a free test ride.
With an industry push to increase the use of electric vehicles and buses within transit agencies the CCRTA wants to invite the community to discuss transportation among each other as well as test ride the Proterra Catalyst bus.
The CCRTA has been known to be an industry leader in the newest transportation technology to better assist riders and to continue to reduce its carbon footprint. The CCRTA currently uses a combination of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and diesel buses within its fleet. The electric vehicles are being considered as an addition to the CCRTA’s current fleet.
