Plug-in Depot Chargers

Proterra simplifies your depot charging with a scalable approach. Regardless of your fleet size, powering up your Proterra buses at the depot is as easy as plugging in a standard J1772-CCS Type 1 charger.

  • Catalyst vehicles can be configured with two charge ports for flexibility in depot charging installations

Overhead Fast-Chargers

Keep your Catalyst buses rolling with easy depot or on-the-road charging, made simple by industry-standard SAE J3105 overhead systems.

60kW Depot Charging

The Proterra 60kW Power Control System is the most cost-effective solution for fleets with longer available charge times. Bi-directional power flow (V2G) enables chargers to be smart-grid ready, to maximize the energy management capability of your entire fleet. Recharge time is approximately 6 hours for an E2 Catalyst with a J1772-CCS plug-in system. The Proterra 60kW Power Control System is compatible with universal plug-in, inverted pantograph and pantograph connections.

Fleets with high uptime requirements will benefit most from the Proterra 125kW Power Control System. Bi-directional power flow (V2G) enables chargers to be smart-grid ready, to maximize the energy management capability of your entire fleet. The system allows for easy scalability as your electric fleet grows. Simply plug in the charger to achieve a full charge in under 3 hours with a standard E2 battery configuration.The Proterra 125kW Power Control System is compatible with universal plug-in, inverted pantograph and pantograph connections.

500kW Depot/On-Route Charging

Ideal for fleets with extended operating hours and high mileage requirements, such as 24-hour circulators. Proterra’s 500kW system delivers fast overhead charging on-route or at the depot. Recharge time is up to 38 miles per 10 minutes, depending on battery configuration. The Proterra 500kW Power Control System is compatible with inverted pantograph and pantograph connections.
