It’s time for clean, quiet transportation for all

Communities are growing and evolving, and with that, our transportation needs are changing. Now more than ever, we need safer, more reliable and cleaner options. Every day, Proterra works to meet those needs with the world’s best electric vehicle technology solutions.

Proterra is a leader in the design and manufacture of zero-emission electric transit vehicles and Proterra Poweredtrademark electric vehicle technology solutions for heavy-duty applications. Since 2004, Proterraregistered technology has been proven through more than 10 million miles on the road in our purpose-built electric transit buses.

As major cities are converting to 100% electric fleets, Proterra vehicles have become the most popular electric buses on the road in North America. Proterra has sold more than 800 electric buses to 100 communities across 43 U.S. states and Canadian provinces.  Today, our buses are also deployed at airports, universities, National parks, and companies.

We work hard to offer the best electric vehicle technology and fleet-wide charging solutions to make the transition to 100% electric fleets seamless. Because of our proven experience on the road and turn-key charging infrastructure solutions, our Proterra Powered technology is now being chosen by other industry-leading vehicle manufacturers to electrify commercial vehicles around the world.

Our revolutionary battery-electric transit vehicles help fleet operators abandon fossil fuels, improve environmental quality and reduce operating costs. Together with our customers, we have prevented more than 55 million pounds of greenhouse gases from escaping into the atmosphere and avoided burning some 2 million gallons of fuel.

From Proterra’s state-of-the-art Silicon Valley R&D lab to our manufacturing facilities in Southern California and South Carolina, we are committed to leading the rapid transformation of heavy-duty transportation to 100-percent electric fleets, delivering clean, quiet transportation for all.
